Anxiety and OCD-Related Disorder
OCD
OCD is a cycle of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that can be debilitating. For LGBTQ+ people, it sometimes targets identity itself, making affirming and knowledgeable care essential.
Most patients pay less than $30 per appointment.
What is OCD?
OCD involves recurring intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) performed to reduce distress. Themes include contamination, harm, morality, and sexuality or gender identity. OCD is serious and responds well to treatment.
How it affects LGBTQ+ people
OCD can target sexual orientation or gender identity, causing intense doubt even in confidently LGBTQ+ people. This is frequently misdiagnosed or confused with genuine questioning. Distinguishing OCD from authentic identity exploration requires a clinician who understands both.
Our treatment approach
Outspace manages medication (typically higher-dose SSRIs) to reduce OCD symptoms and coordinates care with OCD-specialized therapists for ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) therapy.

Therapy is often the first brave step toward healing—and I’m so proud of you for starting on that path. I believe deeply in the power of being seen, heard, and understood, especially in moments when life feels heavy, messy, or uncertain.

I work best with clients who are feeling stuck—like something in life has shifted, and the tools that once worked just aren’t cutting it anymore. My ideal client is one who is going through a challenge in life that is causing them to feel stuck or regress in everyday functioning.
